Carer Visa

This permanent visa allows you to remain in Australia to care for someone with a long-term medical condition who lacks reasonable access to care options in Australia. With this visa, you can live in Australia permanently, work and study in the country, and travel to and from Australia for a period of 5 years.

To apply for this visa, you must apply for the visa and be in Australia during the application process and when the decision is made. You must also serve as a carer for your Australian relative or a member of their family residing with them who requires care and lacks reasonable access to care in Australia and obtain sponsorship from an eligible sponsor.
